Today, Senator Barack Obama is speaking at Jackson State University. A small group of us plan to head on down there and hear him speak. I hope he will capture my imagination and excited me about the possibility of hope in politics. If you believe his hype, he breathes new hope into the country on every exhale and every inhale...
But which is it really - hype, or hope?

Follow up note: so many people went to see Obama that my friends and I didn't make it into the main stadium, OR the overflow building. I can't attest to Barack's charisma, but I can tell you he's pretty popular...

Second, I'm with you on the hype/hope thing. I'm not a distrustful person by nature, but I hear a lot of promises these days and I know they can't all be kept...
